Virtual Pediatric Rotation
Objective
To provide a virtual pediatric rotation experience for visiting 4th year medical students

East Carolina University and ECU Health Medical Center Greenville, NC

2 Week Rotation; Rotations from September through November

Rotation Structure
Multimodal Curriculum with self-directed learning, pediatric conferences, didactics, resident lunches, and discussion forums
Course Specific Objectives
- Describe issues facing physicians including burnout and work-life balance and discuss factors to improve these issues
- Present an age appropriate H&P on pediatric patients
- Interpret and analyze available information to make informed decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment of common inpatient pediatric issues
- Interpret and analyze available information to make informed decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment of common outpatient pediatric issues
Evaluate the challenges in the world right now and express how these challenges affect the pediatric population
Grading System
Grading will be PASS/FAIL
