Nephrology – Education and Training

The division provides education to medical students, Pediatric residents, Internal Medicine – Pediatrics residents, Adult Nephrology Fellows from the Brody School of Medicine as well as visiting medical students and residents from other institutions. Learners gain experience in the clinic, in the hospital, and in inpatient and outpatient dialysis settings. Didactic lectures are given to medical students and residents. CME lectures are provided to community pediatrics, emergency providers, and family medicine physicians through Eastern AHEC.

Learners are taught through patient interactions as well as with one to one didactic sessions on basic nephrology topics. Learners will complete a short presentation in a topic of their preference at the end of their rotation.
